Math Summer Camps

Location: Richmond Public Library at Brighouse (7700 Minoru Gate, Richmond)

Looking for something fun and educational to do this summer? Look no further! Luna Education’s summer camps are designed to help young students from 6-12 enhance their Math skills.

Choose from Tiny Architects for Grade 1-3 students to learn about perimeters and geometrical shapes while building a tiny house, City Tycoon for Grade 4-5 students to design their own cities through 2D and 3D geometrical calculations, and Be Your Own CEO for Grade 6-7 students to run their own businesses using money management, financial and budgeting strategies, and business planning concepts.

Every year, our Math camps are a big hit for students who like to use their creative juices to build and create their own projects while learning Math!

English Summer Camps

Location: Richmond Public Library at Brighouse (7700 Minoru Gate, Richmond)

Use the summer to help your child expand their vocabulary and learn new reading, writing, and public speaking skills! With a focus on activity-based projects to keep students engaged, parents count on our English camps to make summer learning fun.

Check out Epic Tales for Grade 1-3 students to write complex stories using new vocabulary words and story-planning concepts, Biography Buddies for Grade 4-5 students to research and write about their peers by asking discovery questions and analyzing their experiences, and Up For Debate for Grade 6-7 students to build evidence-backed opinions while engaging in active debates.

Throughout the week-long camp, students will gain a deeper understanding of English through interactive games, creative projects, class discussions, and more!

For Grades 1-3

Epic Tales

English Camp for Grades 1-3
Dates:
  • July 11-15 (9:30am-12:30pm)
  • July 25-29 (1:30pm-4:30pm)
In Epic Tales, students will discover the many ways to creating a story, from developing realistic plots, relatable characters, and intriguing events. With a focus on creativity through writing and arts & crafts, this camp is great for young minds with stories to share.

For Grades 4-5

Biography Buddies

English Camp for Grades 4-5
Dates:
  • July 18-22 (1:30pm-4:30pm)
  • July 25-29 (9:30am-12:30pm)
In Biography Buddies, students will write, research, and interview their peers to create a biography about them. For those who are curious about the world, this camp sets the stage for asking insightful questions and expressing creativity through art.

For Grades 6-7

Up For Debate

English Camp for Grades 6-7
Dates:
  • July 11-15 (1:30pm-4:30pm)
  • July 18-22 (9:30am-12:30pm)
In Up For Debate, students will build on their strategic thinking and communication skills by engaging in debates. By learning how to use debate jargon, body language, and more, students will gain meaningful public speaking skills to take to high school.

For Grades 1-3

Tiny Architects

Math Camp for Grades 1-3
Dates:
  • July 18-22 (1:30pm-4:30pm)
  • July 25-29 (9:30am-12:30pm)
What do we need in building tiny houses? Tiny architects! In this camp, students will build on their understanding of areas, perimeters, and geometrical shapes by designing their own tiny houses. With that, these young minds will gain stronger Math skills to apply to real-life.

For Grades 4-5

City Tycoon

Math Camp for Grades 4-5
Dates:
  • July 11-15 (1:30pm-4:30pm)
  • July 18-22 (9:30am-12:30pm)
In City Tycoon, students will utilize their knowledge in geometry, angles, coordinates, transformation, and areas and perimeters to construct their own cities. For students who like to build, and design, this camp will ignite creativity through Math practice.

For Grades 6-7

Be Your Own CEO

Math Camp for Grades 6-7
Dates:
  • July 11-15 (9:30am-12:30pm)
  • July 25-29 (1:30pm-4:30pm)
In Be Your Own CEO, students will run their own lemonade stands and make strategic business decisions. Using concepts like money calculations, budgeting, economics, and business planning, students will launch their lemonade stands to sell to classmates.

FAQs

The summer camps will be led by Luna Education’s team of teachers, tutors, and teacher-helpers – all of which have experience in working with children in either a one-on-one or group format.

Our in-house BC certified teachers have developed the summer camp curriculum, and will oversee each camp delivered by the tutors and teacher-helpers.

Each Summer Camp will be $180 + tax. This will include supplies and snacks for class, as well as take-home materials at the end of each week. The following deals are available until May 31:

  • Friends & Family: Sign up with a friend and receive a 10% discount on both your registration fees.
    *Registrants must be signing up for the same camp and time.
  • Bundle Package: Sign up for both the English and Math Summer Camps for $320 (Original value $360)!
    *Registrant must be the same student.
All materials will be supplied by Luna Education, so all your child needs to bring is a can-do attitude and a happy face!
Each summer camp is 1-week long, from Monday to Friday. Classes are 3 hours long, jam-packed with interactive activities for students to learn and have fun.

Our camps will be in-person at the Richmond Public Library at Brighouse (7700 Minoru Gate, Richmond, BC).

Our tutors take an individualized approach to learning. We treat each student uniquely – looking at them as people who learn and understand in different ways. Depending on your child’s preferences, we approach problems, provide resources used by the Vancouver School Board, and teach in ways that would make sense to them.
